Some say they do, some say they dont. Depends a lot on your wheel offset, and which tires.

Andy:

That looks scary!!! Does this affect the integrity of the vehicle in anyway? i.e. will it weaken or disturb the way it was originally designed? What size tires and lift do you have?

Re: Front body mount CHOP!

How much did you cut out in the end 20-30 mills? Was this just on the front or did you have to do the back end too?

Gunner, it's just the fronts you need to cut, and the only reason you need to trim them is because we can't all drive in a straight line.

Take off one of your front mud flaps, then turn your wheel. Mud tires have much larger lugs on the shoulders of the tires than the stock junk. That's why some people say they can fit 33" with no rub, and others do rub. Each tire out there is a little different size.

I would say chop the mount if you ever plan on going larger and off-road.

Re: Front body mount CHOP!

Does anyone know why Toy makes these things so intrusive? Is it just that they are borrowed off another model, or are they 'overbuilt' for another reason?
