Front body mount CHOP!

You may or may not know, there is a nasty body mount on the front of the FJ....

So tonight I decided to chop it away...drivers side is DONE!

Here are the pics....

Oh yeah, measure TWICE and cut ONCE...unless your me. I started with a small cut, then realized, Im better off cutting MORE then LESS....

Tomorrow is passenger side....if I feel good....maybe Friday or Saturday though...

Nice work, I did the same but no, replacement plate.
BUT................. I cut the mud flap the the exact same way, over time now the , very top part of the plastic right where the cut is, starts to rise up, and stick out, hence rub, looking for a fix

I cut mine in a straight line across....had the same problem with the mud flap so took it off...now I need to come up with some kind of flap to keep ugly stuff from hitting the vehicle.

It's like plastic surgery for an FJ. Looks horrifying in the process, but the end product looks nice.

Did ya have to show the cutting wheel and saws all? The humanity!!
