Re: Ssd Prototype Bumper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice and clean, I approve of this. Im another one of those guys not going the winch route, and just looking for something smaller and streamlined.

Re: Ssd Prototype Bumper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It dosen't look half bad, I think its a little to late to get into the ground floor of the market. Soon the competition between all the other manufacturers to sell off extra inventory will bring prices into the 6 to 900 range! So if you plan on selling your design you best price it right and build it with some exceptional quality! For 1200 clams I'd expect it installed with a couple fogs thrown in for good measure, just MPO.

Re: Ssd Prototype Bumper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

like the proto-type good approch, great recovery looks well made. i like the non-winch and bar design, nice twist on the market.........very pricey. i might consider depending on how rich i am when it comes out and finished product of course.

Re: Ssd Prototype Bumper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it airbag compliant, the importance of that certification is that if you make a hard impact(not a wreck but a rock or tree) that the $$$$$$ airbags don't deploy. This will save money and the occupants getting injured. as for the price i agree that there are quite a few bumpers on the market with the one to compare to is the ARB and you must offer something unique to ask moreThe FJ market is now blooming and we all benefit from the competition. IMHO

Re: Ssd Prototype Bumper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it one piece, or like All Pro's three pieces?

Not a bad looking bumper, and looks to have a good approach angle. I really like the snug fitment, and it doesn't have a big nose.

It looks good in the pics, but will be interested to see additional photos when the bar gets added.

Naturally, weight specs would be nice...

Re: Ssd Prototype Bumper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kind-a like the looks of it.. Personally, I would want a simple, light (er), clean, non-winch, front with matching rear bumper. Not everyone needs/wants a massive bumper, but everyone wants one that looks good and is not plastic. JMHO .. Ron
