OME lift installed and i GOT A PROBLEM...

I installed the lift yesterday and I think the only problem I have is that the bottom of the spring holders (where they sit in) on the shock in the front is touching the sway bar on both sides.... Any suggestions??

Re: OME lift installed and i GOT A PROBLEM...

I just went and checked mine. Not much clearance, but no rubbing.

Question...is it contacting on both sides or only the drivers/pass side? could it be that the sway bar isn't centered side to side? I don't see that it could shift far enough to cause the contact, but...

Re: OME lift installed and i GOT A PROBLEM...

You may have installed the Spring Cups in upside down.... The factory set-up has the Spring Cups facing down, but with the OME set-up, they must face upwards with the springs resting inside of them (where they will collect dirt)....

I'm running the same setup. Like it was said above, I've got a hair of clearance, but no rubbing...

There should have been info about "properly clocking" the springs.... go back and read through that info. I'm pretty sure your springs were assembled with the clocking off. They will rub if not clocked properly.

Re: OME lift installed and i GOT A PROBLEM...

if you look at the OME spring cup, there should be one side that tucks up, and the other that doesn't.

The tucked up side should be in front closest to the sway bar. That will prevent the rub.

you can see the tucked up part in this pic:

This is most likely the solution to your problem. Which way are those bumps on the spring cups pointed? I had mine pointed pretty much in the direction of the oil drain plug and never had any issues with rubbing
