Sean I think high frequency of use justifies the tank. And our cases are likely different.
Knowing you, you're probably airing down 5 times a week plus the buggy. The saved fill time probably gives you a whole extra day saved.
I can realistically go out only twice a month. The decent places are at least a couple hours away and I bring the family. So let's say it's a total of 30 minutes of extra fill time per month with the compressor. The rest of the time it's a daily driver. It's nice to have it mounted out of sight in the engine compartment.
Demello hassles me about this all the time too so I would only get one so he leaves me alone

I'm still going to hassle you about it. You could run a small 5lb tank or 10lb tank and fill your tires up at least a dozen times in about 1min per tire.
Take it from people who have tried to prove others wrong about air tanks. I got tired of being "that guy" sitting on the side of the road in big bear still working on his first tire when everyone else was done and gone. Those cheap little compressors are meant for little car tires not your big ass 35's. You would be lucky to get one to fill your tires up. I use to have two small compressors from Wal-Mart mounted under my hood in the old truck. A LONG TIME ago. The compressors would get hot and stop working after the first tire on a hot day. This was after waiting 15min to get one tire up to 25psi.
I even went so far as to try and put anther AC compressor under my hood. I got pretty far but in the end just bought a air tank.
Wyatt sprung for one of those fancier compressors for his first Tacoma's we did air tanks and fancy mounting with chucks in the front and rear. Even that thing took for ever!
Guess what he has now? AIR TANK! And Sean is right it's easy to find a welding store to refill it. Mine down the street does it for me.
I use my air tank to fill my tires up usually 2 or 3 other trucks and then I blow my interior out before the drive home.
