LCAs should be on or near the top of your list if you ever traverse rocks, and it sounds like you do.

Re: Ok i need armor now?

If you bend/break a LCA on the trail you are stuck. If you're on rocks, I'd upgrade. I added the rear shock skids too, just to have peace of mind. Tim

Re: Ok i need armor now?

well i just ordered the skid that protects the links but, dont have enough money to buy the whole thing. will they break right away from light wheeling or are we talking bending first. Or is it snapping in half?

Just don't drop the LCA's onto any large rocks, and you should be fine. Tim

Correct, be weary that it is an achilles heel of the FJ of sorts. Try and keep it out of harms way until you can replace them. The only real danger facing them is rocks. If you run in rocks alot, well, save quickly.

Re: Ok i need armor now?

i dont run rocks alot usually its just one or two in the middle of the trail that i have to go up and over, but i have not been wheeling in the spots i usually go since my lift so i might be able to dodge those now.
