Tsunami MF 1050 compressors on Ebay (CHEAP)

Just won a bid on the Tsunami MF 1050 compressor for $37.50 delivered ! The Ebay store I won it from has tons of them without boxes, claim they are new and are guaranteed to work fine. I will add to this post when I receive it with a review (whether or not it works).

eBay Store - Auto Parts Sally: 50 Series Compressors: QMAXX HIGH VOLUME AIR COMPRESSOR

No, won the auction today.
seems like a good price, with positive feedbacks from past winners.

Re: Tsunami MF 1050 compressors on Ebay (CHEAP)

Word of warning on the ebay store "auto parts sally"--

I bought the same compressor from them months ago, it arrived completely bent and broken, missing parts, and all messed up. I REALLY had to fight with them to make it right. Months later (after a ton of emails/calls/fighting) they finally sent me another compressor, which works OK, but is still really beat up and obviously used (which is a real bummer because i was bidding on a unit described as being brand new).

You mileage may vary, just wanted to give you all a heads up.

Re: Tsunami MF 1050 compressors on Ebay (CHEAP)

yeah My costco one worked fine about 10 times. It still runs but now when I hook it onto a tire the pressure goes down to about 2 psi instead of up. I think some valve just gave up. well 50 bucks for 10 trips, 5 bucks a trip, I cant be all mad. It was the Q-maxx the one that looks exactly like the Viar only red

Re: Tsunami MF 1050 compressors on Ebay (CHEAP)

CostCo occaisionally carries the same MV50s that Pep Boys and 4Wheel Parts carry. They do well at inflation time. Checkers used to carry them. They are cheap but are a good bang for the buck when purchased new.

comparison tests:
air compressor test

Superflow MV-50

Tire Inflator Comparison

The compressor head comes off easily with the four allen screws. The valves are simple flappers (Reed valves). Maybe some dirt is stuck and keeping one from closing?
