Homemade Hi Lift mount for a Gobi Stealth

After looking around at Hi Lift mounts, I decided it was crazy to spend more for a mount, than what was spent on the tool itself. Plus I wanted the jack to run across the back of the rack instead of down the side like the Gobi mount does. After some time sitting in front of Solidworks, this is what I came up with:

I then went to Home Depot and picked up $20 bucks worth of steel and hardware (regular fabricators could do this almost entirely out of scrap). These are the finished pictures. Sorry my camera was broken during the fab so I didn't get any in process pics. It is not the prettiest fab job but it works.

Re: Homemade Hi Lift mount for a Gobi Stealth

Nice mod to the stealth. I just ordered this Hi-Lift Slide-N-Lock: Tie Down System for Trucks, Trailers, Jeeps, SUV's, and more! | Hi Lift Jack Company for my stealth to help strap down my scepter tanks. Hopefully my mod will work half as nice as your mod did.

Re: Homemade Hi Lift mount for a Gobi Stealth

Thanks guys.

The first time I went wheeling I kept waiting for the jack to fall off because of a bad weld. It held up so I guess I'm good to go.
