- How did you mount to the frame? If you just used the stock bolt locations, you'll need to add some supporting hardware perpendicular to those front bolts. Bumpers on the market who haven't done that have ripped off, or have been slammed into the hood on a hard impact (car accident hard in the latter case).
- Are you concerned about leaving your winch hanging out to dry like that? I like that your bumper is nice and tight up there, but you seem to be sacrificing your winch to the Gods.
Sorry to be critical, I do think it is a nice bumper. I'm just always critical about everything, I suppose it is safer than not being critical I'm also honestly wondering, I'm not trying to be a jackass. If you did the above two things, pardon me, I just couldn't really tell in the pictures.
I must have been on this forum for a while, because take a look at that epilogue (knowing how folks respond on occasion to critical posts).

The bumper is supported to both the stock mounting location and also down to the frame. As far as the bumper being slammed back into the hood in a car accident, I've not tried it to see what happens, perhaps we can use your vehicle to see how that turns out The mounting plates are 1/4" steel plate and all the tubes are .188 wall thickness (3/16") so you would have to really work hard at it to bend anything.
The winch is not hung out do dry as it resides rachet strapped down in the back of the FJ until it is required. That is the idea of this system. It allows less overhanging weight on the front end and also allows the winch to be used in either the front or rear of the vehicle. When not wheeling the winch sits in my basement and not as extra weight on the front end to carry around.
