Re: Built my front tube bumper w/2" receiver

Fantastic job. I would like to see larger, more detailed pics. Also if you would be willing to sell a set plans and a materials list, i'd be totally interested.

Re: Built my front tube bumper w/2" receiver

Very nice!

Bigger pics please!

I would like to upgrade my bumpers, but weight is a big concern so most of the "standard" bumpers are out.

That looks great! I am looking for a front receiver mount for attaching a surf rod rack and your solution looks perfect. How much do you think a copy would cost?
Thankyou very much. I cant quote you a price here because I do not have supporting vendor status (yet). Please PM

really nice job, one off topic question - what type of shoes are you running on that bad boy?
Thankyou, the tires are BFG KM2 285/70/17

You did a terrific job. Can you post some larger pics?
Thanks much, I have to adjust my flicker account to post up some larger photos. I'm not what you'd call a computer geek

I can't really see the details well in the small pics, but did you use expanded steel to cover your radiator? Just wondering, thats what I got there.
Yes, I used expanded metal to allow air flow and keep out debris

Want one with a winch mount. Larger pictures please and did you do any strength tests? How much does it weigh...etc
A winch mont would not be a problem. I mounted my winch and did a few pulls, straight and at an angle up a aprox 40 degree grade, no problems. Weight is 91 lbs

Well done, very nice looking, good clearance and protection.

And, now it begins, you will be inundated with orders and requests for it to be done yesterday. That is your thanks for making a nice product...
Thanks for the compliment, orders are fine, but I am a one man shop and wont be farming anything out so everything will be made to order custom. Working on vendor status currently.

And to add to that, if you did state a price, everyone will say it's way overpriced even if you wouldnt be making a dime on it. lol
LOL I hear you there. there are always those that want the Lamborgini for the price of a Yugo. I think resonable people will have no issues.

You certainly tucked it in well.....No compromised approach angle there. Nice job. I agree you are going to be getting more than a few requests for that one.

Nice job. I bet it wasn't easy. I built my own bumpers for 4 outfits I have owned. Always rear bumpers, much easier, and not the detail that you have. Again, well done.
Thanks so much guys, I am humbled by the responses received.

Thanks much Kim, it's been rolling around in my mind for a while now. Rear bumper with swing out tire carrier is next on the agenda then fender rails.

I ran a couple of trails at Uwharrie last weekend, but didn't do anything that would test the Buds...they got damn dirty though! actually there is one long scratch (about 2 feet long) down the middle, but it did not penetrate the top layer of paint...must have dragged over something lightly while going through a water hole.
