I personally dont notice any performance difference other than it is a bit louder than the standard one and that the chrome part gets dirty very quickly and it is yellow now on mine. You might also want to use the search function, perhaps you can get more info from previous threads...

Hey Big John,

I really like my TRD exhaust, but you'll find allot of opinions out there. Try using the search function, as there's allot of info and opinions in the forum.

If you need a very good quality replacement cat-back for a worn out OEM, by all means give Matt a call at TRD.
To replace the OEM expecting anything you will be disappointed if you are expecting anything more than a slightly louder, slighter deeper tone - exhaust that comes out the side vs the back.

Ummm... thats about it. Pricey noise maker BUT not a bad price for a replacement cat-back from a reputable company (Borla)

The MagnaFlow will be about $649.00 when it comes out.

it makes the truck sound very different. I was next to a stock exhaust FJ in traffic the other day and it sounded like a Camry from the outside....

the yellowing its because its polished stainless steel. the heat discolors it, its the same thing on my Nuespeed exhaust on my S4. Just happens after time. I dont think there is much you can do about it, Ive learned to like it.

I agree. Doesn't contradict my statement that it is a "pricey noise maker".
Some are expecting appreciable Performance gains - There is no proof of that.
If someone is in the market for a high quality mandrel bent stainless steel cat-back system - the Borla (TRD) is the one to get for the $$.

Re: Performance Exhaust by TRD, any good?

you dont feel there is a bit more throttle response and possibly improved gas milage? maybe there is no gain performance wise(horsepower and torque) but keeping the engine running efficent is also a gain in other terms.

Might want to check into the motorcyle shops. I don't know the name of it, but it is a product that is used on moto pipes to make them like new.
