VSC or TRAC ?? need to disable!

I have read dozens of threads all talking about overcoming VSC via a toggle switch .
now this is the deal . my car is an 08 AT .
so when i drive in HI-4
VSC automatically comes off right ? " according to this Attachment i found in a thread.

if so , what makes the car apply brakes " Trac " and keep beeping from time to time when i drive in the desert . IF VSC is off ... so should all trac systems .. ?

when in LO-4 all is good , no beeping , no traction no stupid braking. but we rarley use 4-LO to bash Dunes as high speeds are not in a favour..
that's why we always go 4-HI or 2 HI sometimes .,

so all i want is to kill the traction control and it's realtives to allow me to bash all i want and drive freely while offroading , but would love to keep ABS .. please keep in mind that my problem happenes in HI-4 not only HI-2 .
please direct me to the right way .
Thanx

Guys , i Know you can unplug the connector on the reservoir and therfore disable ALL actuated Systems , which isn't what you'd want ..
am looking for a way to disable Traction Control Alone !

Traction control and ABS are an integrated system, there is no way i know of to remove one apart from the other. Why would you want ABS out in the dunes anyways??? You brake better without ABS in sand. Allows you to dig in.

The best option for you is to just unplug that cable connected to the reservoir and have no traction control. It is what i do when i am on sandy areas.

Thumbs up Re: VSC or TRAC ?? need to disable!

Almost all the offroading around here is sand and it is soft and deep in places. I have an 07 Auto and it really did not feel right with all the gizmos. As soon as I unplugged the connector in the engine bay it was way way better. The only annoying thing left was the ABS which is not what you want in sand. My 2002 Land Cruiser still feels better but once I get to grips with the gizmos this car will be awesome. Still got loads of reading to do and this forum outstrips anything out there.
