This is a coilover, but it has a 1/2 inch TOP plate spacer in the front. Check the part # he got, go to the toyteclifts site and it'll show you pics.

I want to hear more about this rubbing on the sway bar problem, with a pic if possible.

Re: TOYTEC Lift Installed Today

We are looking into that right now. The Left front came with a small shim spacer and that side clears the strut by maybe a 1/16" The Right side does not have a spacer and sway bra sits on base of strut. We tried loosening all the brackets for the sway bar and tried to pry it foward with no luck not very much adjustment. GSGMAC (graham) will have more posted today Im sure.

the tires are 265 70 17 firestone destination mt's im pretty happy with them. i stuck with stock size for gearing reasons next set there should be gears available by then and ill go bigger
I ran 285/75/16 Destination MT's on my lifted tundra...Great in mud and terrible on wet roads (I liked them though, they're a tough tire). FJ looks great. I'm waiting on my lift from toytec (same as yours except with custom rear coils) and it's killing me. I have new DC-I wheels w/ 34x11.5x17 Mickey Thompson Baja belted waiting to put on!!!

Not to be the bearer of bad news....I installed my OME kit (with the help of Toyotatech1) this evening and the 885 springs/N140S shocks rub against the sway bar. I am kinda pissed, now I have to pull it all off and figure something else out. I am not going to grind my sway bar down to squeeze these things in. I would check with OME and the place you purchased your setup to double check this prior to install, but I will know more tomorrow.

Again, I see no way this setup will work without rubbing on the sway-bar and I am not to keen on relocating or modifying it to accommodate the spring/strut setup. I guess All-Pro overcame this with an offset top bracket, OME dropped the ball here.

GSGMAC
Graham- before you go bonkers, give me a call. No need to get pissed, there's no grinding anything.

No disrespect to Reggie, but something is wrong- I have put on dozens of these myself, just did one yesterday in fact.

You took it to TOP, right? Did he reassemble the coilover correctly (spring wrap & orientation) per his TIS?

I'm not sure how this got mucked up, but I can help you.

You're at TOP, right? If you want, come on TOD by today and you can look at one and we'll help you figure it out... I'll be here until 8PM.

It'd probably be helpful if you and Graham can come over together with his truck.
