Here is the end result
VERY NICE! I have the feeling there's going to be a lot of ogling going on over our FJ's in Telluride, since they're both pretty seriously modified.

I called up Reggie tonight and went down to his shop and re-clocked both front coils and struts. There is an eyelet on each bottom plate that needs to be facing in (towards the engine) so the highest point on the bottom plate and spring faces towards the sway bar. The passenger side was still rubbing a little bit after I left Toyota of Dallas, but after Reggie re-clocked them both, there is plenty of room. Lesson learned, Reggie (Toyotatech1) now knows the drill on the OME lift now.
I figured that was part of the issue, that's why the first thing I asked was if the orientation was correct. Had I been nimble enough to crawl down on the ground we would have seen it.

Glad to see you had a little fun with it!

You're at TOP, right? If you want, come on TOD by today and you can look at one and we'll help you figure it out... I'll be here until 8PM.

It'd probably be helpful if you and Graham can come over together with his truck.
I want to applaud you. You guys are from competing dealers/vendors, but put all that aside to help out for free! My local Toyota dealer would be screaming about how dangerous lifts are and telling me my warranty is void, not trying to help fix the problem. Nice work! Wish I was from Texas.

Re: TOYTEC Lift Installed Today

Bah- truth be told, most of that "competing vendor" stuff is just BS- we generally work together closely as a Toyota team. The Parts Manager at Reggies store is a very good friend of mine and our families go out to dinner together even though our stores are close and much of our customer base (wholesale & retail) overlaps.

Hell, even Matt (TRDSource) and I talk and we would do anything we can to help each other out obtaining parts or technical assistance.

People just like to imagine this "cut-throat competitiveness" and drama for some reason (some dealerships do play this up in varying degrees), but for the most part we all work together.

It's important to understand that the Fixed End (Parts, Service & Body Shop) of the business is much different than the Sales side of the business. Parts guys especially know that someday we may need something, and you never know who you will need to ask.

Nonetheless, on behalf of Reggie and myself I humbly thank you for the applause. We are both proud of the way the vehicle turned out and pleased that Graham is happy.
