Re: Lighter weight winch bar bumper.

has anyone weighted the stock bumper? curious as to how much you are putting on, or if you are lucky taking off.

Add one more person to this. This would be perfect. I don't need the winch all the time (maybe never) but I'd love to put a bumper on that would accept it when needed.

Advantages:
  • Lighter, tighter bumper
  • Don't need to haul the extra winch weight around day-to-day
  • Can use the removable winch front and rear
  • You can tow your trailer backward!

Add another one to the list interested in a tighter, lighter bumper w/ 2" receiver. (I think we're at 6 now)

For looks and function I'd spend the money today on a front bumper but then I'd be obligated to spend another ~$750 on a front lift just to maintain the stock clearances.

Launching boats at a ramp using a front hitch is really sweet. Only down side is more weight is further down the ramp where it's slippery at low tide.

I'm not a big fan of it myself. I like the integrated look better of the all pro and denello best. There are ways to make a lightweight bumper without resorting to drillium (holes for the sake of weight).

Re: Lighter weight winch bar bumper.

Considering a side hit sent mine to the shop for 5 weeks of repairs - I'd prefer the front bumper let the heat exchangers breathe while not adding weight to the stock springs and shocks - I mean they spend so many hours not even mentioning health benefits or years of experience of a corporation then calculations weighting the whole thing and sizing the front springs and components. I just have to say I LIKE IT heeheehee looks like it would go great with the same style tube fender designs.

Love tubing over hunky plating (excluding battle hummers)
