Downey's reply to my e-mail asking for full refund due to coilover failure plus sagging & soft rear springs

Brian,

We have no warranty whatsoever that covers off-road parts, or off-road damage, for quite obvious reasons. I will gladly replace the broken shock absorber at no charge, but I will not refund the entire cost of the suspension system, nor any labor charges.

sorry to see that happen to your rig man. i had my downey stuff on for 3 months and never had any issues. i actually liked the ride only reason i changes was to go with the whole allpro theme.

I know they are trying to protect themselves from the idiot's that just go out and thrash the heck out of their rig and then want brand new parts for free, but that reply doesn't give the impression they have a lot of confidence in their product to stand the test of time. Downey is a big name in off road suspensions, but I just haven't seen their name much on these boards....
