Re: Demello VS Trail gear sliders

I have only been in here a little over a year and I have NEVER heard a bad thing about Demello....Someday I hope to have that big D insignia on my truck.

Maybe this will help, plus it will bring back some good memory for some.

Demello over TG everyday of the week
This is the first time I've seen this brilliant hot dog demonstration. Is this from another thread?

Japan has very good quality, but China has very poor quality in everything. I prefer to spend allot more in U.S. products or Japan Products than Chinese products. Sorry but I have had very but experience with China and Taiwan products.
There is a difference between Made in China and product of china. Most company going over China for cheap labors not for cheap raw materials. My Nike shoes one of the best in America are made in China. I don't see Nike going bankrupt because of cheaply made shoes. I also have a TomTom one of the best GPS from Europe that made in China. I understand that we need to buy American to support our country but people who say anything that made in China are cheap is so 10 years ago.

Re: Demello VS Trail gear sliders

I've got Trail Gear sliders, they didn't arrive all beat up, they didn't arrive missing any parts. (I thought the bolts were missing, but I didn't look in the bottom of the box...they were there)

When I ordered them I included a note to Trail Gear advising them about the complaints from other forum members about their packaging. Mine arrived with no damage. I like the hot dog illustration, but I prefer the wider profile of the Trail Gears because I want to use them as a step too. I know the angled Demellos are better for sliding over rocks, but honestly at this point I'm not ready to start rock climbing with my new FJ.

I do some welding myself and I thought that the welds on the Trail Gears looked clean and professional. All the holes lined up perfectly and they fit as advertised.

The price was right on the Trail Gears for what I wanted to accomplish. I'm sure Demello makes a great product, I'm looking at their front bumper as a possible future addition.

It's your money so buy what you want for what you need.

Re: Demello VS Trail gear sliders

I had the fortune to see both trail gear and demello installed on two different fj'sthe demello looked thicker the guy with the trail gear had no real complaints they worked fine also.I chose allpro because of the amount they stuck out and the kick out at the rear.Happy shoppingSEK ROCKS hotsteel41
