disable traction control?
Anyone know how to do this? I'd like to spin my back tires and do tighter U-turns. I'd like to speed up the tire wearing process so that I can have a reason to upgrade to some offroad tires!

Just did it for you...
In the future, create a new thread. Do that by clicking the 'Forum' link way up top, choosing the forum you want it in, then clicking the 'New Thread' button above and to the left of the post list.

Re: disable traction control?
I'm pretty sure there's been a discussion about this. Try VSC or Vehicle Stability Control in a search. There was some talk about finding a "magic" fuse that can be yanked.

Re: disable traction control?
Thanks! Never done my own thread before...
Concerning VSC: I thought that was different than traction control? I thought VSC had more to do with steering and traction during cornering?

In my other previous toyota/Lexus, I could turn off my VSC but for some reasons this switch is not available on FJ.
Here is a good summary of each of the function in your FJ.
FYI - If you have M/T i will be a bit though to do wheelies since it is full time 4WD (thats what I read from others threads)
Making sense of TRAC, Auto LSD, ATRAC, VSC, & Rear Diff lock.

Re: disable traction control?
Attached is a table from the Toyota New Vehicle Manual that may help you understand when certain STAR features are functional or disabled.
P.S. Don't break anything.
