Daystar 2.5" Front & 1.5" Rear Lift Photos

Starting Point:

Stock FJ with 285 70 R17 tires.
Fender lip to ground front 35 1/4"
Fender lip to ground rear 37 1/4"
One tire (right front) lift with other on the ground 16.5"

The Kit:

Lower shock bolts, sway bar bar bolts were removed to allow the rear axle to fully extend.

Using a spring compressor to remove the rear springs. The rear spacers are installed and the springs are reinstalled.

To reinstall the panard rod, a ratched tie down is used to glently pull the axle to the right side so the holes line up correctly.

haha, that's my truck yall. Chris thank you for posting these. This may be easy and straight forward for some, but not for most. I'm not the 1st to have the daystar kit installed, but this forum doesn't yet have pics and instructions. So thanks again for doing that.

For those interested in a lift also check out truxxx.com. All bolt on and warrenty still in effect. 3" in the front and 1.25" in the rear. Pictures to follow for mine. L8R

Oh man, don't tell me you ordered. I did check it out. Seems like it is a spacer lift just like daystar, but cost as much as Revtek. I think you can save mucho bucks by going with daystar. my 2cents. Tran

Re: Daystar 2.5" Front & 1.5" Rear Lift Photos

that's funny how much work it looked like to install the back spacers then mine. all i did was take the bolt out of the bottom of the struts on both sides then take the top bolt out from the sway bars then jack the rear of the car about four feet. the spring came out with no tools needed

We needed more clearance to get the spring with the spacer back on.

Re: Daystar 2.5" Front & 1.5" Rear Lift Photos

Can we run 285/70/17's with this? Trimming required?
Any larger with or without trimming?
Thanks!
Andrew

Just from what I've read a 3" lift will fit 285's w/o trimming. 285's are 33" or close. 35's and you'll need to do a little trimming. Just what I've read.
