Cool. I'm glad you went and messed around in the name of science! Lol...I've never had my ABS kick in...the FJ is amazing on the brakes...especially considering it's size. Simply awesome!

It would be great if I had a clue, but let's face it, that's just not gonna happen.
Didnt play with the ABS, but my ABS LIGHT does not come on now... ever. (high range, low range, locked, unlocked, etc.. it never comes on)
BUT, who cares... I played with the FJ with the rear locked, and the ATRAC working the fronts, and it is simply awesome. I am ecstatic about this mod. I feel the FJ is... the way it should be! Unstoppable. A truely capable 4X4 machine now.
For now, I think I'll keep a power tap and my strippers with me when I'm on the trail. If I get in over my head, I can do it there. At least until some of you guys prove it out a bit more. Thanks
It'd be interesting if Toyota offered this up as a coming option--along with a locker than can engage in hi-range and a means of turning off the VSC without having to lock the center diff.
...
That's why I asked the question in the thread about the Trail Team FJ's--given that this entire shindig originated from a mod they had allegedly made to one of their rigs.
Still, it's annoying how far Toyota went to keep all this from us without having to tear into the electrical system.
I'm both excited and disappointed.
Also, integrating ATRAC in front and the rear diff locker in the back is a much safer option than an Air locker on the IFS.
Forgive me here guy's. Currently I only have rear dif lock. If I add the A-trac switch for ~$50 from TRD Source, I will have the rear at 50/50 when rear dif is engaged, and the both front wheels engage when slipage is detected?
Is it just a matter of installing the switch, or do you splice/tap into something else? Does this void warranty?
Installing the switch will give you standard A-TRAC. You can then run A-TRAC or the rear locker, but not both at the same time. If you want to do that, then you must do this splice/tap routine.
