I guess if you are going to get inspiration from a company... at least you picked a good one.

Re: Complete Front Bumper Comparison

My neighbor just purchase his FJ last week and he is already starting to get the mod bug. He really likes my Warn Dualforce winch and he asked me to help him find a bumper that will fit it. He is looking for a different one that I have just so it doesn't look like a copy of my rig. I have the Warn bumper and a 07 TRD. He just purchased a 07 Black Diamond that he just about stole for the price he paid. Does the Dualforce fit in anything else? Does anyone else have one in a different bumper? From what I see it will take some cutting to get it in anything else.

I don't know of any other bumper that will accommodate that winch. However, I know that NCFJ has that winch and uses it on his bumper. He mounts it into a 2 inch receiver. He will do custom fab work though. He has an FJ and he has the winch your partner is looking for. So, i'd say he could make something if you want to shoot him a pm.

Built my front tube bumper w/2" receiver

I just got the Metal-Tech bumper on this Saturday. I took my old one off a few days before, then drove down to MT for a very nice free BBQ/training event they hosted. Great people. They sell this bumber in a few configurations,
- bumper
- bumper with plate for winch
- bumper with no winch but with a steel bash plate
- bumper with no winch but with an alumimum bash plate

I got the latter, as I want to keep my rig a bit on the lighter side.

Kurt
Hi Kurt,

I was looking at your Fj. It looks very good. Mine is black also and I was woundering what it would look like with the metal tech. After i saw yours, i definitly made my choice.

I was comparing the front view of your vehicule with the orange fj. Is it the body that extend beyong the bumper?

take care

What are you referring to? The only thing i can think of is on the sides where the bumper ends the sheet metal does hang down a little low. On black FJ's, it looks fine. Every other color the sheet metal is clearly seen and some have rattle canned it black to blend in.
