Good to see the new tires on the rig Bill. Are you having any balancing problems? I'm vibrating at 55-65 MPH. Had them rebalanced today, but it got worse.

Here's a couple more:

And even though I cut the body mounts, the mud-flap is stock. No rubbing:

Now, this might be a by-product of the lift...

Re: ToyTec Lift Install - Full Writeup and Pictures

Here is my new Toytech lift and BFG 285's. Slapped my 65's on my wife's 4runner. This is so smooth. No vibration, no rub, just awesome. Took the rig over the pass from Taylor rez to Aspen, my wife was rocked to sleep riding shotgun, it was so easy. I'm no pro, but the trail was rated "difficult". FJ was a champ.

Re: ToyTec Lift Install - Full Writeup and Pictures

Ohh I did the fronts with only 2 spring compressors. They were the type with locking pins even but the coil was to thick and wound too tight to get the safety pins around it. Never the less they worked and did the job.

Re: ToyTec Lift Install - Full Writeup and Pictures

I am having my Toytec Lift installed this morning. Its going to run about 350 including the alignment. I will post my thoughts after the lift has been installed and I have driven my FJ!

Re: ToyTec Lift Install - Full Writeup and Pictures

I did mine myself over thanksgiving. It was actually very easy. I could probably do it all again in about 2 hours if I had everything. It was the LR coilover and the toytec rear with bilsteins. Thats why it was so easy. You will love the ride. I just got the new tires/wheels put on today and had the alignment done as well. Congrats on the purchase, you will love the ride.

Re: ToyTec Lift Install - Full Writeup and Pictures

Great pics and info. Still 3wks or so till FJ purchase; when I find I need the lift it looks easy enough to do, I've played w/ my Stang suspension . Just one safety note...did not notice jack stands in use,and one should never trust in floor jacks. Maybe though you had wheels under truck to catch a jack failure? They help you get squished only a little as long as you are skinny enough to fit under a truck held up by 7-1/2 or 8' wheels... . Looking forward to my new toy to drive and modify. Someday I'll see you other Portland area guys on the road.
