I am currently running these! Along with an additional 1" spacer, primarily because the Radflo rear shocks have a slightly longer extended and collapsed length than the ones provided by Rough Country. Pics in build thread
What's the company for the 1" spacer? Any link?

Ok, i see that you made your own stops. Im thinking of going radflo all around soon. what was the cost of front and rears combined? Also what lighting connection did you do on the roof? It looks like a nice way to bring the wires inside the car...

Re: The General Rough Country 6 inch lift thread...
I know I asked about this in the past but is anyone running any aftermarket 16 inch wheels with 35x12.5x16 or 315/75r16 tires?
I havent bought anything yet and I really want to get the jegs 16 inch wheels with 4.0 backspace and I would use my 1.5 inch spacers. Anyone with 16 inch wheels think this would work? I know they say only 17 inch wheels but seems that some people have been using 16 inch wheels.
Re: The General Rough Country 6 inch lift thread...
Has anyone got different Johnny joints then these crappy ones that come with the upper links on the older kits? Mines making so much noise and its so annoying. Here's the link and joints I have the new ones are different I guess and rough country doesn't have replacement parts for these ones any more.

Tommy,
My joint hardware looks differnt than yours. I did have to modify my rear links for more articulation, otherwise they kept popping apart. My links have a Johnny-TYPE Joint, which consists of a spherical ball inside a two-peice plastic race which is contained in the end of the arm with washers and a c-clip. The inside diameter of the washers define the available range of twist for the spherical ball assembly. This picture shows the gouge that developed in the ball assembly where it would bind against the edge of the washer:
My solution to fixing this problem was to install new washers with a sligthly larger ID. This pics shows the new washer (stainless) and the original washer (gold color). You can see the stainless washer has a larger ID:
One caution is in order: the original washer ID is smaller than the diameter of the spherical ball. The new stainless washer ID is just sligthly larger than the diameter of the spherical ball. This means the ball could theoretically be pushed out of the bushing shell, but for this to happen the plastic race would have to be extruded out with it, and the axle bracket would have to seriously self destruct as well.
Here is a picture of the new washers installed. You can see the additional room around the ball. These links should now be able to accomodate more twist without any metal-to-metal contact, which is what caused them to pop apart previously (twice). Since it eliminates metal to metal contact, it also eliminated the noise as well.
If these newer joints will fit in your existing arms, you might want to give them a try, I would just recommend using the larger washers with them.
Good Luck,
Shawn

Was this what came with your links? When I called rough country they had nothing like this anymore they said they got away from the Johnny joint and are using some different kind of joints and completely different upper links.
I was hoping to get something like yours since they can be taken apart and cleaned and greased. I just don't know where to find those and what size I would need.

I have similar joints on my old RC6 lift. They suck. They are noisy, always co cked (this is not a swear?) to one side, and I'm pretty sure they are the reason my upper dog bone keep losing nuts, despite lock-tite and lock washers.

Stan from toy outfitters has a similar suggestion and that is what he uses on his control link arms. I'm gonna be ordering some with his help because he seems to be the forum expert. Correct me if I'm wrong
