energy suspension sway bar mounts?

Anyone use the energy suspension sway bar mounts? They are greasable ant $20 buck a pair at autozone. If so, what part number did you use?

Re: energy suspension sway bar mounts?

I bought some 1-1/8", the size of the sway bar, universal sway bar bushings from Energy suspensions at the local parts store.

The Energy Suspension brackets that retain the bushings has the holes perfectly aligned parallel with the long axis of the truck.

However, the FJ's factory mounts have holes that aren't on an axis parallel with the vehicle they are offset. All you would need to do in enlarge one of the mounting holes to make them work. Also make sure you align the bushing with the sway bar axis to prevent bind or excessive noise prior to snugging the bolts.

I never finished installing them. I did like that they had a greasable zirk, but I was somewhat timid about adding another polyurethane bushing to the system to be yet another source of squeaks out of the front end.

Although now I've tracked down and silenced the rest of the noises so maybe it's time to add them back into the mix.
