So I happened upon the Atomic Axle L.L.C. booth at SEMA and was intrigued. These provide a ton of ground clearance:
I made sure to track down the Overkill Engineering JK dubbed "Homewrecker" featuring Atomic Axles:
Curious about these axles, I poked around the Atomic Axle web site and had to pick myself up off of the floor after I found an FJ sitting between a couple of Jeeps under Products on the Bolt-In page. It appears that they are in the R & D phase. ATOMIC AXLE L.L.C.
Looks like perhaps a better alternative to an off-set axle like you'd find on an H1. It enables the greater GC but you don't have the whining extra gears on each wheel.
There must be a CV/u-joint at both the pumpkin and outer edge. That could cause for a lot of wear. Might be great for a dedicated off-roader/buggy/trailer queen but not a vehicle you ride regularly on roads. Then again, with 7" of lift, you probably wouldn't want to drive it near any highway speeds....

I just came across these aswell...absolutely awesome...except for the price...
am curious as to what they plan for the FJ...yeah, I understand the rear end but are they going to do an SAS Atomic axle for the front or something different with the IFS setup to gain more clearance?
