I have a glock and a kahr (9mm). I like the Kahr for quick access (smaller) and the glock for it's reliability and easy maintenance (plus my laser fits better on it).

I agree with some of the folks voicing concerns on this post: I wouldn't recommend carrying a hidden/loaded pistol in your car, unless you're traveling through some very rough-n-tumble areas (and this from a kid who's seen quite a bit of "rough and tumble"). I don't know that even through some of the places I've been I could justify the absolute necessity of weilding a firearm I had hidden in my vehicle....then again, I'm not you. Please be safe and thoughtful, whatever you decide....
