Here's the plate on my 72 Bronco. Thanks, y'all. My kids painted the flags on the doors after 9/11 as a thanks to the servicemen keeping us safe.

Here's a poem my daughter, Erica, wrote for the same reason (at age 12).
It's called "GI Joe":

‘I’m just an average person.’
That’s what average people say.
‘I can’t make a difference.’
So they go on with their day

But you my friend are different.
You’re not an ordinary Joe.
You go into war for people
You barely even know.

You keep our families safe.
You’re a hero to us all.
We know if we’re in trouble,
You will always answer our call.

I know this card is little
And I don’t have much to say,
But I hope it will keep you going
For at least one more day.

Thank you for protecting us,
For being ready for us to send.
Thank you for being the one
Who I can trust to the end.
