Took a second but I got it... now thats funny!
I looked at my FJ yesterday and noticed something very cool: Its a year old next month, its black, and I dont have 1 door ding. I do have a few color spots on them from other peoples doors though, they definitely do the job. As for lifting by them yes they are plenty strong to support the vehicle. When changing the tires 3 weeks ago I used the sliders as a jack point and never an issue - have slid off several rocks on the trail & landed on them as well, still no damage.
