Wow...that really sucks. You might try taking it to an auto/body place and have them examine the spots and write out that they are not in fact the result of rocks/salt. Turns out they can. They way it chips and other evidence can determine that. That may give you some ammunition to fire back that the rep isn't an expert and that you have a statement from someone who works on them all the time. I am funny about that though, I will raise a fuss of hate and discontent until they usually take care of it to shut me up. haha Something else is if you call back and they tell you the same stuff about the rep, ask what his qualifications are in this matter.
I hope it goes better for me when I see the rep, but the service manager himself said these aren't rock chips, the paint is flaking off. You want my case number to use for back up if you call back? I was told if it wasn't resolved to my satisfaction to call back, ask to speak to someone higher up. Don't under rate the power of writing letters either. Believe it or not companies take notice when someone actually writes and mails a letter.
