it is a nice design
and he is using synthertic line which spooling is not as important
however, most are going to use metal cable, and overlapping the line can cause imediate failure under the right conditions, and it damages the cable for the next use, making failure more a more apt ordeal. watching thru the fairlead hole leaves you open to being killed by snapback due to a failure. or lossing a limb. I would prefer a way that you could watch standing back 5 or more feet.
