The mileage drop is in small-part due to the increased tire size, more importantly, the weight is almost double the OE tire. It takes more effort to get the wheels rolling, couple that with the higher rolling resistance of the BFG, and ultimately mileage drops 15-20%. Please remember these are just my observations.
