Lightbulb McCaslin Mountain, WI run. Sept 28-30

Edited to add this is as an event now. Sept 28-30th here Welcome To McCaslin Mountain Campground

The Midwest Group is making a run to Mt. McCaslin the weekend of 28 September (see above link for campground info!) We're doing a little camping on Friday and Saturday nights with wheeling all day Saturday and a few hours Sunday. I have a couple of grills for cooking and if you're nice I just might be tempted to bring my smoker and do up some real smoked bbq. I have a civilized pop-up with A/C and might have room for another person. I am bringing legitimate Wisconsin wood for campfires as well as charcoal for grills. I also talked with Mrs. Smith at the campground. She was willing to place all of us FJ folks close to each other. When you check in at the park, mention you are with the FJ group so she can place us together.

The current game plan is for the Illinois group to meet at Gurnee Mills on that Friday afternoon and caravan north. Given that it'll be a 4.5 hour trip from GM, we'll meet in the Steak and Shake parking lot (Steak and Shake is on Gurnee Mills Circle East. It is at the first stop light west of I-94) I will have my truck parked in the lot right along Grand Avenue so it's easier to spot. I'd like to leave the S&S lot by 2:30 pm for those interested. If this is too early, then let us know so we can possibly accommodate you.We will be meeting the Southern/Central Wisconsin folks here. Truck Stop Info Plus - Select a Truck Stop It is about 40mi north of Milwaukee. Exit 107 in Belgium WI right off I-43. We will meet them around 4:30 pm.

The directions from Gurnee Mills are here: from: Gurnee Mills Blvd, Gurnee, Lake, Illinois 60031, United States to: W15720 County Road F, Athelstane, WI 54104 (Mc Caslin Mountain Campground) - Google Maps

Remember, as with all of our runs we are open to all makes. Bring a Jeep/Nissan/Ford/Chevy etc. friend along for the fun! It's all about wheeling with friends.

The current list of who is and who might is as follows:

Definitely going:
Not-His-FJ
PhilC64
ChitownFJ
Dubkapke
Avninja
Buellboy

Might go:
ExJarHead
Jack

Post up and let's keep this rolling!
