Once they figure you are not the stew pigeon that they can talk into a bunch of needless work along with the "free" oil change, you will likely get the blank look concerning getting your oil and filters.
The nissan stealer by our shop has that ploy. One of our old women customers bought a new Sentra. The wouldnt give her the oil change after they saw she was bringing it to us for the scheduled stuff and other stuff she broke off the car. The second "free" oil change they did included an added $60.00 tire rotation, and $39.99 washer fluid.
We told her our $29.99 oil change that includes wiper juice and $20.00 rotate every other oil change would make her "free" oil change look silly.
