4 wheel parts-shaking steering wheel part 2
Dear xxxxxxxx
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your location. On July 7,2007 I purchased a set of tires from you and had a free installation. Immediately after picking it up I noticed a dramatic shaking motion on my steering wheel as if one of the tires was not balanced properly. I called the following day and the man I spoke with was “very confident” that the balancing was done properly and was not an issue. I made a 9:00 am appointment for the following day to have it checked. After arriving and checking in on time, I waited an hour for my vehicle to be taken in and another hour while it was inspected. After two hours, I was told that it was not my tires and most likely my rack and pinion that was failing on my 2007 Fj cruiser. They referred me to the Toyota dealership because according to the man that inspected my tires, they were absolutely balanced properly. I then visited the Toyota dealership who did a road force test and balanced my tires. Their determination was that my tires were not balance properly and that my right front tire needed 9 oz. of weight. It essentially cost me $42.14 and a week of my time to find out what I had suspected initially: That your company had failed to balance my tires properly. Now I understand why you do specials with free installation. I am a very active member of the Fj cruiser forums online and had been warned by other users not to visit 4wheel parts because of problems with the company. I decided to use your services anyway only to discover that I should have listened to those who sought to warn me. I hope you are able to solve the problems your company’s reputation has. Unfortunately, it will be too late to capture my future business and that of the growing number of Fj Cruiser enthusiasts.
Sincerely,
Eryn Eddy
