So, my diff blew up this weekend along with the rear diff on one of the Toyota Trail Team's trucks. 2 Other FJ's in my area have blown rear diffs and had them replaced. When I had mine towed to Milton Martin Toyota in Gainesville, GA to get it fixed they're saying they won't cover it under warranty or as a defective part. I have a pre Feb 2007 truck, and wasn't doing anything crazy when it broke. The dealer is saying it's "vehicle abuse" since I take the truck off road. Has anyone had any experience with this? I have a claim in with corporate but since the regional guy said no there's nothing else I can do. If anyone has any advice, let me know plz!
If it was me, I'd contact the Trail Team person you were running with who also had a blown differential. THEY should know who to contact at corporate who will make it right.

The FRIGGING STEALERSHIPS each have a different policy. Somebody at Toyota needs to straighten this out. Either it's covered or it's not -- at all dealerships. This whole "you drove a vehicle designed for off-road driving in an off-road environment therefore it's abuse does not cut it." I don't think the dealership in Gainsville is representative of Toyota. A number of people have had the work done under warranty with no problem. Take heart!
