I'm in Alabama, the family and I are planing a trip to either Co, or Ut. We will be heading out the week after Christmas. What are some good resorts in those areas.
It depends on you budget, Ogden area is cheapest, but after skiing amenities are limited (resturaunts, bars, etc). Park city is best for amenities and large resorts, shopping, resturaunts, bars etc. but the snow is usually crappy during Christmas (but that all varies from year to year and they make snow) and it gets pricey. My parents have a house on the top of main street an is within very close walking to many resturaunts and bars, but they do command a premium and it sells out fast. For pure skiing, the little and big cottonwood resorts are the best. They get the most and best snow and have good food/bars, and great accomodations. If you want to look into renting a house for a week in PC, PM me and I will get you in touch with the details. If it is rented already you can look to next year. At the house, there is a free shuttle that will pick you up just outside the front door and take you to any PC resorts.
