I have ben a ham since a teen, I also enjoy rag time on the CB, I know the limits of the cb and all the advantages of the Upper band ranges of the Ham frequencies. Not wanting to piss anyone off but teh CB is terribly limited in it's use as a communication tool, very limited range and lots of unregulated interference limits it severly. I run both a CB and a 2 Meter in the Jeep, I can get out v\long range in case of an emergency with the 2 meter, the cb is basicly line of site.
