Browns Camp with Toyota Trails Team 09-28-07

Here are some pics from the run:

After the 101 class by the Toyota Trails Team Mark from Metal Tech lead us on a trail run. He was driving Grandpa FJ seen below.

The area was beautiful and the trails were nice and wide(except for a few tight spots). I think I can count on one hand how many times I heard a branch scrape down the side of my rig.

After the first leg of the run we pulled back out on to a main dirt road. There awaiting our arrival was the Tillamook Sheriff. Guess who he decides to pick on.......yep the one FJ with California plates and our Toyota Trails Team Guides.

They did not have their Oregon State Off Road Vehicle Permit. I expected a nice friendly warning........nope he ends up getting a cite for not having his permit. So all 15 rigs sit out there and wait for the Sheriff to scratch out his ticket. The Toyota Trail Team drives all the way out to there to give class and teach people how to 4x4 in a safe and responsible manner and this is the thanks they get! Luckily the rest of us had our permits.

Back to the trail....So my better half tagged along with me.....sick and tired she was a real trooper. This is during one of the roughest parts of the trail!

Overall it was a great experience and we were able to meet some cool people. That and the FJ Tool bag made it worth the 8 hours of driving to stay just for the day. The guy in the Stock FJ in front of me just bought it! You can see the temp plate in the back.

Here are a few more pics from the trail.
