Thing would just not connect about 1/8 times; you would then have to turn the truck off and restart it. PITA if you were just running around town stopping a lot. Big drawback with the VAIS unit is that you can't control the deck through the iPod; that is, you have to use the deck to navigate. I like to pick playlists and use random so not an issue for me ... is a problem for many though.
