Re: Meet the Scorpion (Uphill's Build-Up)

R-E-S-P-E-C-T! (Friday, October 12, 2007)

I bought a Stebel Nautilus Compact Air Horn (commonly used by motorcycles) to replace the OEM horn because when I honk, I don't think anyone hears. The Toyota horn is impossibly polite. Polite doesn't hack it when I want to get somebody's attention.

WRIGMAN has this horn on his FJ and on his BMW motorcycle and it was to my neighbor and friend WRIGMAN that I went to for help on this modification installation.

Side by side comparison between OEM and Stebel horns

Wrigman expresses an opinon of the effectiveness of the OEM horn.

Uphill wiring the relay into the battery and threading wire into the conduit.

Wrigman installing the horn.

The Stebel Nautilus Compact Air Horn is installed and more importantly, it works. (thanks for your help Wrigman!!)
