Re: remote start?

The Compustar system needs to 'see' the car running to set itself in 'ready mode'.

When you park the vehicle, engage the park brake, foot of the clutch, foot of the brake with the engine running......only at this point will the system 'see' that the FJ is parked and running.

Remove the key from the ignition, the vehicle will stay running.

Open your door and exit, close the door. Vehicle will shut off and the doors will lock.

At this point the vehicle is in ready mode and ready to remote start.

If you happen to forget somthing in the vehcile and you have to go back in after you are in ready mode.......as soon as you re-lock the door the vehicle is instantly out of ready mode.

If at any piont when exiting the vehicle you bump the brake, clutch etc you are instantly out of ready mode.

You wait to long to exit the vehicle once the key is removed.....out of ready mode.

It is pretty easy to use, either you are in ready mode or not. No gray area.
