This is a serious problem, thanks for the post, I will def. pass this on to everybody I know, I wonder if Toyota has been made aware of this? If so it must of been kept under wraps. Good post!

Toyota is aware of this problem, but they are not publicizing it at all. Many (I'd say most) dealers are still unaware of this issue, as are most FJC owners.
As it involves the structure of a safety zone, i'd hope Toyota would want to make sure vehicle owners and dealers know about the possible symptoms and how to spot them, but based on my conversations Toyota Customer Service still feels these are isolated incidents. It will be up to all FJC owners to make others aware of this potentially serious situation, and keep pressure on Toyota to do the right thing:
All FJC owners can help by doing the following:
1) Check your vehicle for symptoms regularly
2) If symptoms exist, take to dealer for documentation / warranty protection
3) File a complaint with Toyota Corporate offices
4) File a complaint with the NHTSA
