Now keep in mind that this is not intended to be a complete survival kit. It is only a major component that compliments the M-PAC system. The reference to 48 hours is only in the fact that it contains enough nutrition for one person for that period of time. If you're really hungry the rack will hold 4 such packs
A person would be wise to augment such a pack with something like my other post http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...mpartment.html which outlines my hidden compartment pack. There's a lot of stuff that you could build into a survival system, if you want to live on coconut oil (not a bad idea)...it's OK with me. There is no perfect answer for everyone. I think that you need to choose what's right for you.
The nice thing about this pouch is that it is easily moved from car to wherever needed and it has a superior shelf life. The kit I am suggesting is exactly what I have hanging in my FJ now (prepared for long winter drives).
If enough of you are interested I can easily reproduce it, or you can put one together yourself. It is merely a shelf stable pantry for your car.
