Tony - sorry for your troubles, but thanks a million for the warning! They will get no business from me.
It sounds like Discover cards are useless too! I guess I'll use Visa for any purchase I haven't seen first. In fact, I'm going to call them up, ask them if they will withhold/reimburse payments in situations like this, and if not, I'll cancel my card!
