a center punch can be secured with a velcro strap. that was my point. no need to be a smart ass.
Your reaction is puzzling and so sorry if you read some emotional crap into my post. A center punch does not cut seat belts so now I have to velcro in two tools??? Your approach is not applicable. Read on.

My wife does not carry knives and flashlights or center punches. She is not technical nor fascinated by tools, knives, guns, flashlights and other toys that you and I love. Putting a "lifehammer" in the car to assure her safety is cheap insurance and it is easy for her to understand and use.

If that is being "smart ass" than I am sorry you jumped to that conclusion.
