Becasue unless the gun is physically attached to you, it is not secure. Wearing a pistol in a concealed holster provides immediate access if that is what you want. Many people who carry guns with them, but not on them, would like the gun to be secured when they are not in the vehicle. This seems like a great device to securely keep a pistol in the vehicle.
This is clearly not designed for immediate access. If you want that, then keep your gun in a holster.
