The hardware is bombproof. Lining up the holes on the bracket and the holes on the rack took some effort but once I got it right, it looks incredible.

The waterproof washer that comes on the FJC is retained for the GOBI installation, so I would say no more so then the factory rack or factory caps. The caps that were on my truck were not watertight.

When my less then light 240lbs climbed on the ladder to get on the roof the door did not budge at all. So far, I don't see this being and issue.
