That is an awsome idea Ben, I will like to see the progress on this. You have made me start thinking . Once you get it done, you will have to paint it Voodoo Blue to match.

I've thought about the Voodoo Blue idea. For right now, I'm going with a camo green to match the tent. It's an expedition style tent in kind of an OD or Hunter green. I'm just gonna rattle can it for now. I'm going to use Durabak bed liner on the bed after I get rid of the little bit of rust in it. Durabak comes in a few different colors, including blue. But it's more of a royal or process blue. Not quite the same blue. But it's really tough stuff and flexable, so if I bang it up, it won't chip or peel. Or I might go with their hunter green, again, to match the tent. Can't afford to do that just yet though, as the Durabak is about $125 a gallon, and it would take two gallons to do the outside. The interior (non-UV resistant) version I'm using on the bed is only $75/gal. Since the bed will be permanently covered, there's no need for the UV resistance. Besisdes, I'm going with black, so if the black fades, no biggie. I'm not really going for looks with this. I'm not really going to even worry too much about fixing the few dents that are in the bed. Just sand down the rough bondo the previous owner did and get it painted. It's gonna be following me on some trails some day, and probably get is bit banged up. So this one is more about function than looks.
