The Official "Bike Rack" Thread

well, maybe someone could sticky this if we get enough pics/examples posted.

I have seen many people inquire about what bike rack to use. So, if you are using a bike rack on your FJ just post pics of the rack on the Fj with a bike on it, so people could get ideas of ground clearance and function. Also, please mention Brand, and Model.

Here is Mine:

Saris BAT 2 Bike Spare Tire Rack

Rear view with my Santa Cruz Superlight. (fully XTR )

Open door without having to swing rack like hitch mounted racks.

And road bikes fit great too: My Bianchi Giro

This is the actual adapter that holds the bikes called "batwing"
The bottom arm adjusts to whatever angle needed according to the geometry of your bike(s).

REVISED

Added a rigged Yakima rack attached to stock roof rack.

REVISED 08/20/08
Better shots of both racks at work.
