I went home. I had concluded that I could make it stop by applying pressure to the door panel. I was prepared to take the door panel off to see what I could find. Upon examination, I noticed that there is a plastic piece in the door jam, just below the metal "U" bolt that the door locks into when it closes. I'm not sure what this little plastic piece does, but it floats in nd out, depending on whether the door is open or not. Check it out, it is very loose. I jammed a piece of paper in, underneath it, and the noise has disappeared. So, I found the problem. Now I just need to find a more permanent fix. Hope this helps anyone with the "door rattle problem".

Man, I have complained about this from day one, nobody knows how to fix it. it's driving me nuts I have to turn my stereo on just so I won't hear it.
I will def. try this out and if it works come on over to my neck of the woods for a steak dinner!!!
